You deliver results the right way. Your outstanding safety focus and strong work ethic is highly commended. Well done and thank you.
From 2013 until 2016 I was employed as the Area Project Manager to build the $40 Billion Chevron controlled lNG treatment plant and export facility on Barrow Island.
During this period I was fortunate enough to receive the HSE assistance of Glenn Peck who was contracted to Chevron’s Safety Team to manage and support contractors. Glenn’s innovative ability to foresee and assess hazards and associated risks was exceptional and resulted in minimal delays due to HSE related issues. His leadership and professional standards were of the highest level, highlighted through his willingness and effectiveness in mentoring contractor HSE workers as well as non-Safety personnel.
Glenn Peck is an outstanding safety professional who consistently delivers on time and without safety incidents, sponsoring safety culture, awareness and proficiency within an organisation.
Glenn is highly recommended for Safety leadership and consultant roles.
Above the Line Safety Solutions delivered three training packages to a group at BAE Systems Nowra in early June 2017 including, Enter and Work in a Confined Space, Gas Test Atmospheres and Work Safety at Heights. The training was delivered to an exceptionally high standard on site using their mobile training module that provided real life scenario for practical training and assessment. The instructor was highly experienced and provided a wealth of knowledge that was supported by top quality training materials, including take-away learner guides.
BAE will definitely be engaging ATL Safety Solutions for future safety training and other professional safety support.
I am pleased to recommend Glenn Peck from Above the Line Safety Solutions in leading and implementing Safety and Compliance programs. I have known Glenn Peck since 2015, a short time after he joined the Gorgon Project in 2014 and was Glenn’s direct supervisor in 2016-17.
Gorgon is one of the world’s largest LNG projects and the largest single resource project in Australia’s history, constructed by Chevron Australia at a cost of over $50billion. Gorgon comprises a three-train, 15.6 million tonnes per annum LNG facility and a domestic gas plant with the capacity to supply 300 terajoules of gas per day to Western Australia.
Glenn lead safety and compliance programs for a range of work scopes on the Gorgon project including:
- Jetty Construction
- Build of the Permanent Operations Facility
- Installation of General Utilities Plant (power, water etc.) Construction of C02 injection wells, and
- Commissioning of the Acid Gas Removal and LNG trains.
It was through this work that Operations management team recognized Glenn’s knowledge and commitment to safety. They appointed him responsible for managing and training the workforce in all the projects portable safety critical equipment.
Glenn successfully set up a safety equipment office that cost effectively managed the training, quality and safety assurance of a large fleet of Mercury Detection Monitors, Personal Flotation Devices, Benzene Monitors, Personal Gas Monitors and Emergency Life Saving Apparatus (ELSA’s).
Throughout the time I have known Glenn, he has demonstrated exceptional drive and commitment combined with practical knowledge and experience in safety assurance and compliance. Glenn will be valuable asset in any committed organization that considers safety a priority.
